Browser Support
Kapost works hard to support all major browsers for our web SaaS platform.
We support the latest version of every browser and one behind the latest.
Note: JavaScript must be enabled for Kapost to load properly.
Before beginning with Kapost, we ask that you look at your browser version and ensure you're on the latest or at least one behind the latest version. This is imperative because our technology is always being updated and many of our features won't be supported by older versions of browsers.
Note: The above mentioned support is also what Google and all their products support. (You can read more about that here). If you have any questions around what browser you're using or anything else related to browser support please don't hesitate to reach out to our Support Team.
A Note about Browser Plug-ins and Extensions
While Kapost will run smoothly with most plug-ins and extensions, we do not officially support any browser plug-ins or extensions with the platform.
Browser plug-ins and extensions are built by myriad third-party programs and are updated on wildly varying schedules. Our engineering team works hard to keep up with the latest versions of major browsers, but we do not prioritize the tracking of individual plug-ins and / or extensions.
If you think a plug-in or extension may be causing trouble within Kapost, try running the program in an incognito window. If this clears up the problem, your next step may be to identify the interfering plug-in by trying them one-by-one while working within your standard browser. Depending on your situation, you may choose to work with Kapost in an incognito window or disable the problematic plug-in.
If you've identified a plug-in or extension that interferes with Kapost, we'd like to know about it. Please get in touch with your Customer Service Representative or contact our Support Team.
Firewall and Whitelisting
When it comes to the integrations Kapost manages, we understand that many customers want to limit access to their websites for security reasons, and have installed firewalls to do so.
If you require the IP address from where Kapost e-mail comes from (i.e. any messages coming from your Kapost instance), please contact Support.
One thing firewalls do is protect your various sites from having anything published on them from third parties. Even though the only people who work on your Kapost instance are part of your company with the authority to publish to your various websites, your Kapost instance is technically a third party software. This means that the IP address of your Kapost instance needs to be whitelisted to get through your Firewall.
Kapost's IP's are always changing due to being a cloud hosted app. This sometimes makes normal whitelisting hard, because if you whitelist one of our IP's and info gets sent from another IP, it will still be blocked.
We have a feature in place that makes it so that your particular instance ONLY publishes from one of our IP's, which is proxy.kapost.com. To enable this, talk to your Customer Success Representative. They will need to set up your instance so that it only publishes from proxy.kapost.com.
Once your instance has been configured to send from proxy.kapost.com, we need you to whitelist this address. Once you have done this, information coming from Proxy can publish to any CMS on your site.
To access this feature, talk to your account manager or contact Support.
